mast head mood board

all of the people i asked about the font above said it was confusing and not nice to look at so i instantly ruled this one out

most people said that this font looks kind of urban and so i decided it is not fit for a progressive/indie rock based magazine but some said it represents the difficult path that comes with being a musician

one person pointed out that it make her think it is a disco magazine as the disco is emphasised with the slanted v

a lot of people said that this font was good as it sticks out and has a kind of in your face atmosphere some people also said that it can represent the indie genre as it started out with a rebellious theme and this masthead really captures that

tile mood board and chosen title

essence

live indie

undiscovered

UNDISCOVERED:
i am going to use undiscovered as my title because when indie first started nearly all the indie bands were not signed to a major label so were not discovered until later when indie started to grow. and i can also put indie bands who have not been signed yet in my mag also but i have also got the opinion of my chosen audience range(which affected my choice greatly)  by asking directly which they thought would be best and 5 out of 7 chose undiscovered and the other 2 chose essence
