i feel i have a much better understanding of how a magazine should look from my preliminary task. also i feel that i have a much better understanding of how to use Photoshop this time around i think my magazine looks much better this time.

lastly i think i have learnt how to research and make media products well and will continue to get better at  it through the rest of my course

evaluation qestion 6: waht have you learnt about technologys from the process of construction this product

nickon camera:
through this process i have learnt how to properly focus and change settings on a camera to take proper pictures for example black and white filter, raising contrast ext....which allowed me to take quality pictures from all different angles

prezi;
i learnt how to use prezi efficiently to make my presentations look more professional and so people and look through the information smoothly and quickly as you can see from my blog i have used prezi to my own advantage many times

Photoshop:
what i have learnt about Photoshop is how to efficiently edit photos like changing contrast and cropping . i have also learnt how to format and make things like magazines on Photoshop and can use it in the future to efficiently make things like posters

evaluation qestion 4 and 5:who would be the audince of your media product and how did you atract/adress your audience

the audience for my music magazine would be out going people who like watching live gigs and people who are interested in music and its history
age:
16-35

gender:
both

life style choices/ hobbies:
musicians
outgoing
they like live music

demographic profile:
middle and lower class
17000-35000 a year
could be any job

description of my typical reader:
an out going person that likes to watch gigs, with a 9-5 job and ether single, has a partner or has kids

my magazine targeted my audience by :
providing competitions to win gig tickets and opportunity to buy them and have an legends of the week segment to people can find out more about the genres history. there will also be a spread regarding new and unknown bands giving them a chance to become big and lastly will provide interviews, back story and all available news regarding the big bands

my magazine addressed my audience through the double page spread interview in naming Tracy Chapman and Laura marling and other big bands in the contents page band index. also through my models clothing  her clothing truly represented the indie genre

evaluation qeation 3:what kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

i think the media institution that would distribute my magazine is the bauer media group because they have a few very successful music magazines under their belt and are a very successful company and are experienced in dealing with music magazines . they would distribute my magazine because they dont have many music magazines and my music magazine will allow them have a more of a range when it comes to magazines and it will allow them to reach more of an audience

evaluation qestion 2: how does your media product represent a particullar social group

i think my magazine represents my particular social group through my model and the bands i mention through out the magazine my model represents my chosen social group through her clothing. her green jacket is in the same style as i describes in my indie music research, this style truly holds true to the original MOD style from the beginning of the indie genre.the bands i used in my band index, for the legend of the week and the bands i used for my main artists inspirations all hold true to the indie genre for example i used the Arctic Monkeys, Laura Marling, Tracy Chapman and many others. these examples represent the MODs and the new indie fans also and represents the indie genre very well

evaluation qestion 1: in what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real music magazines?

Mastehead:
in my magazine I used the one word msatehead which is very popular among successful magazines for example their is kerrang, NME, Q, VIBE and many more.....for my mastehead I used the title undiscovered with wrestlemaina font from dafont , this has a big impact on the reader because it catches their eye and tells them what the magazine is mainly about.for my mastehead i mainly followed the usual conventions of a magazine in the way a mastehead looks which is, at the top and the center of the page, big on the page and  have a eye catching font.
overall i tried to follow the main conventions used for a real magazines mastehead as they have been proven to be very popular among my target audience, this is shown by kerrang and NME in their popularity

front cover:
for my front cover i tried to go a traditional as possible, by traditional follow all the typical conventions of the typical music magazine cover, I did this because i wanted the front cover to be simple and not to chaotic and in all the magazines Ive researched all of them have the normal front cover a single picture with a few sell lines with maybe a feature specific to the magazine

contents page:
i think my contents page challenges the conventions of a professional music magazine, for example i have slanted the contents title and have made it diagonal which you don't see in other magazines. i used this to add my own originality, i also used a band index which i have only seen in one other magazine and using it in my magazine will allow the reader to navigate my magazine with ease
